Kelson is 7 months old!

OK - I know I say this every month, but I CANNOT BELIEVE that my baby is already 7 months old!!! Time is just flying by! Kelson has "grown up" a lot in the past month. He has cut his very first tooth (still trying to get a picture of it) and is starting move towards crawling. Kelson is such a sweet and happy baby (most of the time). Doug and I are so blessed and we fall more in love every day. Last week, Doug, said "I don't know about having other kids because I love Kelson so much". Kelson is also now becoming more of an "expert" eater. He now eats: Rice Oatmeal, Peas, Carrots, Apples, Sweet Potatoes, and Prunes. He still hasn't mastered sleeping and still wakes up 1-3 times a night...we are working on it (as Mom really needs more sleep!). I love that every morning, Kelson always has a BIG smile for me. He is so happy. He has also mastered "flirting". He cocks his head to the side and bats his eyelashes at all the girls...not ok with this, but cute nonetheless. Below are his 7 month pictures in his chair I took. Such a big boy!

How can you not love this face?!? This is how he smiles at me every morning
Handsome Blue eyes

In other news - Doug and I have decided to stop throwing away $44+ dollars every few weeks on disposable diapers. We have jumped "all in" with cloth diapers. It is an initial investment up front, but we only have to use them for 4.5-5 months before we start saving money by not buying disposable. This is just another way that we are cutting back since we will be going down to 1 income soon. I got everything washed and organized in his nursery yesterday, so today was the big day. I put Kelson in his first one (and of course snapped a few pics) and then we started playing...not 3 minutes later...Kelson looks at me...makes the face/and noise and makes a poopy diaper. Oh Joy - I'm thinking - you really want to make sure these things are going to work! So - back to the nursery we go and sure enough...BIG POOPY. I put a new diaper on him and then try out the handy toilet sprayer to get rid of the "mess". All in all - they held up great and the clean-up isn't bad at all. I just put them in a hamper like disposables and then wash the entire hamper every couple of days...below are some pics...he's really working on crawling every chance he gets...

All of our awesome diapers...love the colors - these will be great when it's hot this summer in our house...
Check out his belly "lapping" over his diaper...and his knee fat!

  1. I can't get over these pictures! Kelson is adorable and you are a great photographer! You are so lucky that you can get such beautiful pictures of your baby with out having to pay another photographer!
