Homecoming Parade and San Antonio

A few weeks ago, we met up with some friends to watch the Coppell High School homecoming parade.  We had fun and enjoyed doing something a little different after dinner.  Kelson loved the parade and of course the band was his favorite.  He did not however like the police motorcycles as they revved their engines loudly and it scared him.  He is starting to be really sensitive with loud noises (which will be problematic when we take him to a UT football game...oh well).  The best part about a small town though is that they noticed they scared him, so they came back on their motorcycles and gave him a sticker and calmed him down.  He did great until the end when the football team was on a semi-truck and the truck honked his horn...then he melted down again...until I gave him a sucker and all was well in the world.
watching the parade with Anna Grace
Landon clapping along (in other news - Landon is now a big brother!  His precious sister was born on Thursday!)
godmother Sarah and my godson Brooks were in the parade!  Yay Pinkerton Cowpokes!
Parker and Adalynn...they don't look amused

Last weekend we loaded up and made the trek to San Antonio to introduce Parker to Doug's grandparents, Aunt, Uncles, and Cousin William.  The drive down was good for the most part due to Kelson watching Elmo the entire drive down.  This is the first road trip where he is actually interested in TV and it definitely helped with the screaming in the car.

Parker meeting his great grandma "GG"
Kelson playing with Great Grandpa "Poppi".  Kelson has on his Flag jon jons as Poppi is a retired lt colonel in the Air Force. (and if you didn't know..."Chemists have solutions"...so says Poppi's shirt...he was a chemist)

One of the best parts about GG and Poppi's house is their amazing backyard.  They back up to a greenbelt and Poppi feeds all of the wildlife.  Kelson had fun helping Poppi feed the deer.  This is Kelson asking us "where'd the deer go?!"
Throwing the football with Poppi.  Check out his great form!!!  Maybe he'll be the next Colt McCoy!

On Sunday, my good friend/college roommate/bridesmaid came over to meet Parker and Kelson.  Megan and I met at UT orientation and have been friends ever since.   Her boyfriend, Efren, just so happens to be the baby whisperer.  Parker fell asleep on him about 2 seconds after I took this picture.
 4 generations!!!
