Funny story about the crib...I had in my head that the crib box would fit in the trunk of my Impala.
1. Everything fits in the Impala (the trunk is GIANT)
2. I'm pregnant and not that rational.
Well - Mom and I go to Babies R Us and the box is as tall as me, so there is NO way that it would fit. So - we called Dad (Doug was out of town with the Land Rover)...Dad comes up to Babies R Us. Another problem - Babies R Us doesn't have any rope to tie the crib on top of Dad's Jeep (they don't deliver and they don't supply rope...RIDICULOUS). So - off we went to WalMart to buy Rope...finally 2 hours after Mom and I got to Babies R Us, we were on our way back to the house.
My last words to Dad as he pulled away - "be careful - I'm pretty sure you can't return the crib because it fell off of the car"

27 week belly picture - notice how tall the box is - still can't believe I thought this would fit in my trunk!
When Doug got back from his offroading weekend, we had the pleasure of putting the crib together. It wasn't that bad and it is kind of a right of passage for future parents
We wanted to put the crib on the other wall, but due to the closeness of the window (don't need baby playing with the curtains or pull cords from the blinds), we put it on this wall. I'm sure I'll ask Doug to move it 4 times before I'm happy. We haven't bought the mattress yet, but I put the bed skirt on and you can see the blanket.
Once the Changer comes in, I'll post pics...Thanks again to Mom and Dad for helping! Mom and I decided that we hate Babies R Us...what a scam! No delivery, no rope, and then you buy and expensive crib and it doesn't come with a mattress...oh well...
Been there, done that, bought the T shirt!
