The Nursery Paint job is FINISHED!!!

Yay! The Nursery Painting is FINISHED! I can now move the bed out of my office and back in to the nursery! After Anne and Rick left, we still needed to do the trim work. Well - we painted the trim and then someone (Doug - cough cough) thought we should leave the tape up for a week...well...when we pulled the tape, it also peeled off alot of the paint...so...Doug had the pleasure of repainting the trim work this weekend. He did a great job and it looks SOOOO good! The Crown molding and Chair rail look great (if I do say so myself).

This is me trying to smile about my craft project that didn't turn out to be as "easy" as I thought it would be. I told Doug it would take me 5 minutes and it wasn't that easy. I put up letters that say "every good and perfect gift comes from above"

Doug measuring and telling me that it is in fact slightly crooked...oh well...it still looks cute. We'll just see how long it lasts.

The nursery from the hallway (notice the AWESOME new fan that Doug installed this weekend...our furniture will be dark wood/brown, so it'll match perfectly!)

The nursery from the bathroom

My most recent craft project. Doug and I made this shadowbox frame for the nursery. We'll put a pic of the bean once it arrives.

This is the bedding quilt. The sheets are brown with off white polka dots...Now I'm on the prowl for fabric to make curtains and pillows...

I'll try to write an update on what has been happening in the last week...I've been sick and I'm still fighting it off. I'll post about the bean's first concert as well as the bean's movements.
Have a good day!
Love,
Erin and the Bean

  1. Where was he and that ruler before you started your project. Engineers and rulers - bad combination!

  2. It was straight when I started...problem is that the project didn't go as planned and I had to peel the letters off one by one...it was a disaster...and typical me - I wasn't going to stop until it was finished.

  3. Think of it as a "valuable learning experience." You will know better next time.
