Happy Birthday Kelson!

Today, Kelson turns 1 years old!  This last year has been the best of my life and has completely flown by!  It seems like just yesterday he was born.  July 13, 2009 was a special day.  As you know, we didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl and we were eager to finally meet our "lil bean".  I'm tearing up thinking about that moment when Doug told me that we had a little boy!  From day 1, Kelson has been such a happy baby.  We are extremely blessed to be parents to this sweet lil guy.  In the last month, Kelson has started to give kisses (sometimes he doesn't close his mouth, so watch out) and gives hugs.  Kelson is still not interested in walking, he's just fine cruising around on his knees.  He does like to practice walking with his walker and stands on his own (when he notices he's standing, he immediately plops back down on the floor).  He is talking up a storm these days - his favorite words are still Dadda and Dog.  He likes to say "night night" when he's going to bed and he quacks at the ducks when we go feed them.  He still loves to swing and screams in delight when he sees the playground.  Kelson now has 4 teeth on the top and 3 on the bottom.  He is cutting 2 more on the top and 1 more on the bottom.  Teething is rough for Kelson - he is a big fan of the teethers to help sooth his gums.  His most recent "trick" is holding on to his tongue - he grabs a hold of it with his fingers and pulls.  It's quite hilarious.

Happy Birthday Kelson!  Your Dad and I have love you very much and we can't wait for the upcoming year as you learn and do new things.
