Well - I'm trying not to get my hopes up...BUT...if Parker continues to do well (i.e. eat well and breathe well on his own), then he is coming home TOMORROW!!!!!!! When we started this journey, I remember them telling me it could be weeks before we come home and I was devastated. The last week has crawled by, but with each day, Parker has improved and done REALLY well. The one thing I've learned is that I will never complain about being pregnant again. We have been exposed to some families' stories that are heart wrenching. Like the baby girl across the POD from Parker who was born at 25 weeks. She is now 4 weeks old and the Mom has yet to hold her. I cannot imagine that pain. I'm sure her mother would give anything to still be pregnant...thus why I will not complain ever again.
Anywho - with that said - Our baby boy is coming home! YAY! Pray that he does great today! If he does, then they have a room that Doug and I can stay in tonight and be with Parker all night...the thought of this is exciting and scary at the same time. I'll probably lay awake all night and watch his breathing.

ReplyDeleteWhat a precious little bundle! He looks so peaceful - I bet he overheard the talk of him going home and he's happy. : ) Love you guys and we can't wait to meet the newest Mueller.
