Well - 2012 has been a rough year so far for the Mueller Family...but...we've also had some great moments tucked in with all of the chaos and sickness. We are truly blessed and as Doug and I pray together at night we are reminded of that. Kelson is currently in the middle of a not fun phase. He is truly testing his boundaries and has learned the following phrases that I DO NOT LIKE "I don't want to!" "NO!" "Stop That Right Now". Not quite sure where he is getting these from (except for the stop that right now...which unfortunately I've said alot lately. Kelson is typically saying that to Parker when Parker is getting in to something he shouldn't be.
Even with this phrase, I love spending time with him. Seriously - I miss him when he is at preschool. Kelson is a funny lil guy. He has a lot of me in him - he's not afraid of anything and is very stubborn. He is also very loving and loves to give hugs and kisses. Anywho...below are a few of the things we've been up to this month.
February started out like this - breathing treatments for Parker's RSV
This month has been pretty awesome as far as weather goes. Remember last February? Well - not this year! (knock on wood!). We have enjoyed playing outside in the afternoons. Kelson still loves bubbles and sidewalk chalk
Parker watching Kelson blow bubbles
We are still slowly introducing solid foods with Parker. He is still a pretty great lil eater.
This month was also rough for the dogs as Campbell had to have ear surgery. I didn't get a picture, but he had to wear an E collar for 3 weeks. BRUTAL. This meant that we had to keep the dogs separated so that Heisman wouldn't eat the collar or lick Campbell's ear. Heisman loved it as it meant she was inside with us ALL the time. Parker loved crawling and climbing on Heisman
One morning, we met up with our great friends, Anna Grace and her lil sister Adalyn (and their Mommy Brittany), for a trip to the aquarium.
Kelson pointing out "Nemo"
THIS IS SO RARE! He actually looked at the camera and smiled! WHAT?!?
Anna Grace and Kelson playing
Petting the star fish
Parker squeezing in a lil snooze
Parker's girlfriend, Adalyn coming in to give him a smooch...hehe
We love bathtime at our house!
Last Wednesday was the start of the Lenten Season. We all went to Ash Wednesday Mass and got our ashes. Let's just say that Doug or I was in the courtyard with Kelson the whole time discipling him...awful.
Yep - he's got shorts on in February! We were playing a little baseball outside.
Had to laugh about Kelson...brings back memories.

ReplyDeletePraying for you guys! Hang in there, girl. Jackson was exactly as you described for most of this past year. As he approaches his third birthday, we are starting to see him turn a corner with his behavior. I promise it gets better. I used to repeat to myself daily "this is just a phase...we will all get through this...it's just a phase!" Until then, a glass of wine in the evening doesn't hurt. :) Adorable pictures!!
