Weekend Visitors

This past weekend, Doug's parents and sister came to visit us! We had a good time just hanging out. They all took turns holding and snuggling with Kelson. I almost had to break up a few fights as to "whose turn it was to hold Kelson" ;)

Doug and I also went to a dear friend's wedding last night. It was our first time to really get out of the house with Kelson. Kelson slept through the entire nuptial mass and then was alert the whole reception. He just looked around at all of the lights and all of the people. I was nervous about him being around people, so I pretty much held him the whole time to limit contact with people. It was nice to see everyone and for everyone to meet Kelson. One of the highlights of the night (besides the beautiful wedding) was seeing Paul Kolker. Paul is the seminarian from our parish that is studying in Rome (see our Europe Blog for more). He is back home this summer for the first time in 2 years. He said a special prayer and blessing over Kelson last night which was really special for Doug and I. He will be a deacon in 2010, so hopefully he can baptize our 2nd baby! :) Unfortunately, I didn't take any pics of us out and about last night as my hands were full the whole night...

This is the first outfit that Kelson has outgrown :( These are his froggie PJ's...I had to get a picture of him in them one last time. He is too long for them. This week he will probably be in a lot of outfits for the last time. He is just so long that he is outgrowing things in the length, but not in the width of the outfit.
