First Road Trip - Lake Jackson

This past weekend, Doug and I strapped Kelson in his carseat and made the trek down I45 to Lake Jackson to see Doug's Folks. The drive down Thursday night was ROUGH as Kelson cried everytime the car stopped (which was problematic in Dallas afternoon traffic - it took us 1 hour to get to I45 in Dallas...) We finally made it to Lake Jackson and we had a great weekend. We went to the Astros game Friday night, watched UT football Saturday, and took Kelson to the beach for the first time on Sunday. The drive back went very well. We enjoyed a nice stop at the new Buc-ee's in Madisonville (which is fabulous!). Yes - it's a gas station, but it's more than that!!! You have to go there to see what I mean - by the way - they give out FREE fudge samples-SWEET!
