Fourth of July

We had a great Fourth of July weekend here in Coppell this year.  It was weird to not be in Leakey at the Frio with the Kelson crew, but also nice to be at home for the long weekend.  We missed seeing all of my uncles shoot fireworks, lay/float by the river drinking a beer, and just running around Flatrock.

Friday night - we had a "white trash" night with the neighbors at the Osterbergers and it was so much fun.  Kelson had fun swimming with best friend Landon and eating popsicles on the porch.

Saturday - I went for my first run post Parker and it was great!  It was so nice to be out running.  I'll have to get used to pushing the double stroller and YES - it's HOT! I can't quite remember what we did Saturday night, but I know it was fun...

Sunday night - fireworks!  We went with a big group of neighbors and church friends to see the Coppell Fireworks.  It was great!  Jason had gone out early to stake out our area and we had a HUGE area of blankets, coolers, chairs, jello shots, food, etc.  Brandy and I went later since she's preggo and I didn't want Parker out in the heat.  When we got there, Kelson was covered in popsicle, sweating, and was having a blast!  He loved the fireworks!  He just sat next to Doug and watched and clapped for them.  Parker on the other hand was not a fan!  I had to nurse him through the fireworks and almost left at one point b/c I felt bad that he was so upset.  He made it through and then slept 6 hours when we got home!!!

Trying to get all of the B-1 kids to take a picture - epic fail

Kelson and his flag - pretty sure this is his FAVORITE holiday.  Notice the bomb pop leftovers on his face?
sweet baby Harrison - check out his amazing cheeks!
lil miss Kennedy - love her!
Clapping for more fireworks.  He kept saying "one more please"
 Loving the fireworks

Monday - Coppell Parade.  I have to admit - the Christmas Parade is better, but Kelson LOVED it b/c of all of the flags!  He sat in the chair and watched the entire thing.
Waiting for the parade to start with Cousin Brooklynn
 Holding Daddy's hand
 Sucker time
 Landon waving to the firetruck
Tried to get a picture of Kelson with my Dad (his look-alike), but Kelson was DONE
 exhausted from our busy weekend
Loving on brother
