Our new family
You slept like this for the first 3 months...we loved it
Yes - you can STILL put both feet in your mouth - What a talent!
Campbell's crate provided lots of entertainment when you learned how to crawl...you loved to crawl in and close the door
One of my favorites - "how big are you?" SO BIG!

one year pictures...you loved to clap when you turned one
yep - you rocked a mullet for a little while because Mommy wouldn't admit that her baby needed his first haircut...now looking back - WOW - you had a mullet! haha
This is what we call the "concerned Doug look"...apparently your Daddy made the same face
Peek a boo! You walked around with the popcorn bucket on your head for weeks
So sweet! You love your "ruff ruffs" and your flag of course
Poor thing - your Mom being the photographer makes you do funny things like have an I Love Mommy tatoo for Valentines
You took a break from the session to do a little mowing
You definitely have an opinion and let us know when you aren't happy
worth it though to get this picture!

Two Years old and so grown up
Kelson,
First and foremost - your Daddy and I want you to know that you are loved. We couldn't imagine our lives without you in it. It's hard to remember what life was like before we were blessed with you on July 13, 2009. The last two years have been amazing. The last year specifically has been so much fun. We've loved seeing you grow up to quite the lil man. Your personality is pretty awesome. You have traits of both Mommy and Daddy...and some that are just plain Kelson. You can be very serious and quiet like your Daddy. You like to examine everything like your Daddy. You are also a little bit crazy and silly like your Mommy. You are also not afraid of anything and love to try new things (definitely not your Daddy). Below are a few aspects of you at this age that I don't want to forget:
*You FINALLY started eating better...bribery is working wonders with your eating habits. A few of the things you love to eat: all kinds of fruit, cheese, yogurt, tator tots from Sonic ("tay tots"), milk (and "kai milk" for chocolate milk), french fries, green beans, carrots, turkey meat, cereal, oatmeal, pankcakes ("can cakes"), cheese and crackers, anything mixed in a bowl (i.e. chipotle), spaghetti, guacamole, breakfast rolls Mommy makes, bacon, pizza, calzones, peas, grilled cheese...man...come to think of it...you eat QUITE a big now! Praise God!
*You still love to give kisses and hugs even though you are now figuring out that Mommy and Daddy love them, so you hold back and run away sometimes
*You love to build towers and knock them over with your blocks
*You love to throw pretty much anything
*Anything outdoors is still your favorite
*Believe it or not, you are getting over your obsession with flags. You are now obsessed with guitars. You love to watch CMT with Daddy and practice with your own guitar
*You are a great big brother. You love to kiss on Parker ("par par") and you love to share your toys with him
*We are letting you watch TV since you are 2 and your favorite is definitely Elmo's World...in fact you are watching it so that I can get this post done and you just asked for more! ("momo world")
*You still have a pacifier at night ("fier"). You sleep for 12 hours at night and take a 2.5-3 hour nap, so I'm not messing it up by taking away your fier just yet.
*You love animals and the Zoo is one of your favorite activities. Elephants are definitely your favorite. When we ask you what an elephant does, you throw your arm up and make a noise...it's great
Some of our favorite Kelson phrases:
"I runnin" (I'm running)
"Go Dadda Go" (you say this EVERYTIME we pass a baseball field)
"i wul u" (I LOVE YOU - MY FAVORITE)
"cacka pease" (cracker please)
"more ark mama" (your favorite indoor playground...you ask for it almost daily)
"uh oh baby sleeping"
"bear vi-min pease" (you think your vitamins are candy and always want more than 1)
"I helpin" (I'm helping...you love to help)
We can't wait to see what the next year has in store for us! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELSON RICHARD! We love you more than we can express. You are a blessing from the Lord and truly a gift.
Certainly a giant bright sport for all his grandparents. Can't wait to see what an awesome kid Parker will become either!
