Summer Happenings

We've had a really great summer with both of our boys.  Honestly - it hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be adjusting to two babies.  Kelson is such a sweet big brother (most of the time) and he has made great improvements with his listening skills, communication, and eating.  Parker is also quite possibly the most easy going and happy baby I've ever seen...so...the combination of both has helped us adjust.  Below are a few of the things we've been up to in the past few weeks.

As previously reported, Kelson is obsessed with guitars...so...when Aunt Becky was in town, I found these guitar overalls on sale for the boys.  Kelson actually loves it so much, that's it's hard to convince him to change in to his PJ's at the end of the day...luckily we also have some guitar PJs.
Kelson loves to play with Parker when he's doing his floor/tummy time...Parker is absolutely fascinated with his big brother
We were so BLESSED to have my Mom, "KK" spend quite a few days with us this summer.  We are all sad that school started and she is back to work...We love you KK
MYC had a great activity at the bowling alley and Kelson had a blast bowling for the first time.  For those of you that don't know...Doug is quite the bowler (he was in a league at about 6 years old!)..teehee.

The hand air thingy was Kelson's favorite...HAHA

Doug and I took the boys to the Ringling Circus and Kelson was way more in to it than last year.  He loved the elephants and still talks about them daily.  Before the circus you can go on to the stage floor and meet the clowns and see the Elephant up close.  The elephant then "paints" a picture...well...if you ask Kelson what elephants do, he says "paint".  Apparently all elephants can paint.
Silly Dadda

Parker pretty much slept in the Moby Wrap the whole time.  He woke up during the second half and nursed...we can add the circus and a bowling alley to the list of random places I've nursed Parker

Kelson was pretty upset that the elephant went backstage...he was OK once he figured out that the circus hadn't even started yet and that the elephant had to go backstage to get ready for the actual show.
Holding his first ever cotton candy...$12!  Yep - the circus charges $12 for cotton candy!!!  It comes with a hat...I would have liked to have just the cotton candy...but no such luck.  Kelson didn't actually even like the cotton candy...figures

Another fun activity that I can't wait to take Kelson to again...this trampoline, jump place in Plano...it was AWESOME!  I would actually like to have my own birthday party there...
It is basically wall to wall trampolines.  PRETTY AWESOME!  The little kid area was perfect for Kelson and Landon.  They had a blast!

Isn't he precious?!?
