Parker is 8 Months Old!

I can't believe it, but sweet baby Parker turned 8 months on January 20th.  Month 7 was a rough one for Mr Parker.  He started off the month by getting RSV.  Luckily it didn't get in his lungs, but he was sick all through Christmas and after.  He started to feel better and then caught yet another virus.  Sweet boy just hasn't felt good.  To top it off he was cutting 3 new teeth!  Yep - Sweet boy now has 4 teeth that have poked through.  3 on the bottom and 1 on the top (the 2nd tooth on top is coming in any day).  So - with the sickness and the teeth, Parker had a rough month.  Parker just wanted to be held more and would get fussy at night (which is totally normal, just haven't been through it with Parker until this month).  We didn't do much this month as you were sick so we pretty much stayed close to home.  You are SO close to crawling.  You are pushing yourself around the house backwards.  Don't get me wrong - even though you aren't "crawling", doesn't mean that you aren't mobile.  You push and scoot and roll to get whatever you have your eye on (the fireplace, the coffee table shelf, your brother, etc).  We have a good time every afternoon while your brother is napping just playing in the playroom together.  You love love love the little people farm.  You like to pick up all of the animals and of course shove them in your mouth and chew on them.

As for sleep - you still go down for the night about 7:30pm.  You typically wake up between 4:30-6:00 to eat and then sleep until 7:00 (some nights you squirm around around 2:30, and Daddy pats your back and you fall back asleep).  This is a vast improvement, so I'll take it!  Naps are typically from 9:00-11:00 and then again from 2:00-3:30ish.  You aren't quite the napper that Kelson is, but maybe we'll get here someday.

New things you've done this month:
*You have started to eat sweet potatoes!  You love them!  Yay!
*You ate peas and then threw them back up on mommy...not a fan of peas...
*You are really good at sitting up and then moving down to being on your belly
*You started the army crawl and backwards scooting
*You love to give high fives and we regularly catch you waving to your self - PRECIOUS
*You like to put your feet in your mouth - in fact- everything goes in your mouth these days
*You have started to "flirt" and cock your head to the side and smile

Parker - even though you were sick pretty much the whole month, you are still such a joy and light in our lives.  You love to look at your brother and steal whatever he is playing with.  You and Kelson like to snuggle in the mornings and it literally makes my day to see how much you love him and he loves you.  We constantly pray for you and your health.  We pray that you grow to love the Lord and want to serve him.
--LOVE - Mommy and Daddy

Always on the move
This is Parker's flirting face - how can you NOT love this?
Ms. Claire made you this awesome hat
Another one of your obsessions is pulling things over your face.  It freaks your daddy and mommy out!  If there's a blanket, diaper, shirt, etc in your vicinity, you get it and put it on your face.  You were pulling the hat over your face...

This month brought more of this face than we would have liked.  Notice 3 of his teeth on the bottom?
With all of those teeth coming in, you are constantly drooling, sticking your tongue out, or sucking on your lips...
Sweet boy just doesn't feel good...
But he'll still smile for Mommy.  I literally L.O.V.E this picture...seriously...
Parker with his favorite toys this month.  Love your little people!
You are constantly pointing your toes or using them to grab things.  I love when you do this because I can see all of the fat on the tops of your feet.
Happy 8 months Parker Robert!  We love you!
