Parker has really grown up in the last month. He is a fast lil crawler. Long gone is his 2 hind leg hop. He is a fully proficient crawler and climber. If you leave the baby gate open, he bee-lines it for the stairs and starts to get his big old booty up the stairs. He also is great now at standing up at tables and getting back down. He is just moving all around. It is so much fun to see him discover new things. For example - he has discovered the only non-baby proofed cabinet in the kitchen. He loves to play in the cabinet with the colanders, spoons, spatulas, lids, etc while I'm cooking. Kelson then comes behind him and cleans everything up.
Parker is finally starting to sleep better. He atleast doesn't wake up in the middle of the night anymore. He usually makes it to 6/6:30am and most days goes back to sleep until 7/7:30. He is taking 2 naps a day. He normally naps from 9:30-11 and then again from 2-4. Somedays he naps great and others he doesn't. Parker is definitely not the champion napper like his mom and big brother (Kelson still takes one 2.5 nap a day)...but...the good news is that he is still a happy camper with or without a nap. For example - he woke up early this afternoon (due to some "action" in his diaper) and is just perfectly happy playing with me in the playroom.
Parker is an UH-MAZING eater. Doug and I prayed and prayed that we would not have another baby that struggles with eating like Kelson. Well - as I'm sure you can tell from the pictures - our sweet boy loves food. He has yet to not eat something we've offered him. Sweet boy loves him some scrambled eggs. Seriously - he shoves them in as fast as his cute fat hand will pick them up from his tray. Parker's other favorites are cheese, yogurt, bananas, guacamole, hummus, roasted carrots, roasted sweet potatoes, any type of baby food, and of course puffs.
Parker is still the happiest baby around. I'm not just biased on this one. People tell me all the time - he is the happiest baby! He really is such a happy lil guy. He loves to belly laugh at his big brother in the car when Kelson is dancing. Parker is also becoming a flirt. He loves to play peek a boo and flirt with anyone and everyone he meets. My all time favorite though is that when I'm holding Parker (which is about 70% of the day) he leans his head on my should and just holds on to me. I LOVE THIS. LOVE. He has also started to reach for me and Doug. Such a sweetheart.
Parker Robert - as your first year is coming to an end - we want you to know that the last 11months have been some of the best ever. You bring so much joy and happiness to our family. You truly are our sweet lil miracle. Every day I'm reminded of the power of prayer. We prayed fervently over you while I was pregnant and pray everyday that you will grow to be a happy and loving lil man. We love you!
