We made the trek down to Lake Jackson to celebrate Thanksgiving. This was Shelby's longest car ride and Doug and I were nervous to see if she traveled more like Parker or Kelson or if she had a few new things up her sleeve. Kelson has pretty much been the worst car traveler since he was a newborn. Parker is awesome in the car. Rarely makes a peep. He just looks out the window. Shelby did pretty great (coming home was much better than going down). The drive to Lake Jackson was pretty terrible. It took us FOREVER. We made lots of potty stops for Kelson, feeding stops for Shelby, and just stops so we wouldn't go crazy! We finally made it to LJ and quickly threw everything in the house (including the kids), showered up, and Doug and I drove back up to Houston. We went to my college roomies engagement party in NW Houston. It was so great to see her, finally meet her fiancé, and have a little adult time (Shelby came along of course!). We can't wait to celebrate Tracy and Tim's wedding in Sanibel Florida in May! EEK! For real adult vacay without kiddos! WHAT?!? Anywho...I digress
We had fun just relaxing and hanging out with Doug's family. I didn't get many pictures of the weekend, but we did venture out to Doug's elementary school playground. Kelson loves this playground.
Typical Kelson...silly
Parker being silly...he learned from the best
Parker kept saying "I hang in!"
falling down...he also learned this from Kelson
a little hopscotch
Kelson discovered his shadow and had lots of fun. pretty darn cute
In other news...I've decided I need to start being better about uploading my phone pics to my computer and putting them on the blog. Most of our activities are captured with my phone camera...
