14 WEEKS!!!

Praise the Lord!  I'm out of the 1st Trimester!!!  YIPPEE!

Below is what pregnancy.com says about week 14
"Your baby can now squint, frown, pee, grimace, and suck his/her thumb.  The kidneys are producing urine, which he/she releases into the amniotic fluid.  Your baby is stretching out.  He/She now measures 3 1/2 - 4 inches in length and is the size of a large lemon."

What a great weekend!  Doug and I really enjoyed all of the pro-life activities this weekend.  It was amazing to see thousands of people praying at the abortion clinic, attending mass with the Bishop, and then an inter-faith rally and march to the federal courthouse.  It was very moving and emotional.

We then met up with Kate for dinner and a movie, which was a blast as usual.  We are so excited that Kate is in Dallas (for now) and love being able to see her!  Kate gave me a GREAT Christmas present called the "Hooter Hider".  It is a magical apron/cloth thingy for me when I breastfeed.  It is also VERY fashionable!  Thanks Kate!

At the Youth Mass Tonight, something awesome happened as well.  The Priest asked for all of those that are pregnant to stand and receive a special blessing (since it is Pro-life Weekend).  It was awesome!  I was on the front row by the teens and received a blessing and holy water.  Deacon Pete (The amazing Deacon who married us) was also doing the Mass and he gave me and Doug a huge hug after the blessing.  SO NEAT!  He was genuinely excited for us, and that was neat.

Then - at Life Teen (The youth group at Church that we volunteer with) we had a concert night.  Coffey Anderson was there and he was AWESOME!  He is absolutely HILARIOUS and an amazing singer.  He made Christian and Gospel music fun for the teens (and for Doug).  Go to YouTube and look him up - he's great!

Anywho - I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I'm not scheduled for a sonogram, but I'm trying to figure out a way that I can have one...I'll keep you posted if I'm able to work it out...

Have a great week,
Erin, Doug, and the Lil Bean
