It's official - I bought my first pair of Maternity Jeans last night. I was bummed as I was trying to hold on to my regular jeans for as long as possible. As Doug keeps reminding me - you are pregnant! So - off Doug and I went to Target (my fav place)! I always have a hard time finding regular jeans and I'm a bit of a jean snob (whatever - don't hate me!), so I was not looking forward to this maternity jean idea. After some consultation from my wise sister-in-law, who said she had luck at Target...here we were standing in the maternity section. The maternity section at our super target consists of about 10 things...that's it! I had 2 options for jeans. The first pair were OK - not that much of a boot cut and they didn't do anything for my "figure", but Doug pointed out that I have room to grow in them. The second pair was cuter, but had 1 problem. The elastic was in the back...in the back...I think the maker of these pants was confused! Granted - I know that I've grown in the back as well, but I'm mainly gonna grow up front - that's where the elastic should be! Anywho - atleast the not so cute pants only cost $27. I also managed to get a cute pair of flats and a maternity shirt that is long enough to cover the giant elastic top of the jeans.
So - I'm about 16 weeks preggers and I'm wearing elastic pants. Why the heck did I wait so long!?!? Elastic is amazing! Why did we ever start wearing pants that have zippers and buttons?!? SERIOUSLY! Elastic rocks!
Alright - enough about pants.
The bean is doing good (As far as I can tell)...the bean is causing me to have issues when I sleep. I'm still having issues getting used to sleeping on my side. I'm a stomach sleeper, which is now uncomfortable, so...side it is. Doug also likes to wake me up in the middle of the night when I'm sleeping on my back. Apparently when I sleep on my back, I snore. I don't really believe him...but he claims that I snore now. So - side it is. I'm going to BabysRus this weekend to get this awesome pillow thing that's supposed to help you sleep on your side.
On the bright side of things - yesterday was the first day since before Thanksgiving, that I didn't get nauseous, throw-up, or dry heave all day! YAY! I think the end of the "morning" sickness is gone! (except I'm currently eating saltines as I'm nauseous). Atleast it's getting better!
Have a great weekend!
Love,
Erin and the lil Bean
