Doug and I leave tonight for our last vacation together Before Children (B.C - as my Mom would say). We are headed to New York City!!! Doug is excited as he has never been to NYC before. I'm excited to walk around with him and go "exploring". We are going to see my college roommate and car dancing partner, Tracy Elaine Bratten. I haven't gotten to spend more than a few hours with Tracy in a while, so I'm pumped to hang out with her. She has been living in NYC for 2 1/2 years and is a "pro" at the whole tour guide thing. While Tracy is at work tomorrow (she is a big/bad/important person at Clear Channel Online Media), Doug and I are going to do alot of the "touristy" aspects of the trip. We are planning on seeing: Ground Zero, Wall Street, The Statue of Liberty (via the Staten Island Ferry), The Empire State Building, and possibly Central Park. Friday night we are meeting up for dinner and then off to Broadway with Tracy. I got us tickets to see Wicked. I'm so excited! The last time I was in NYC the tickets were sold out, so I'm glad we got them this time.
As for the rest of the weekend - we are going to meet up with a St Rita buddy, Kate for brunch, some fake purse hunting in China Town, a visit to FAO Schwartz to get something for the bean, mass at St Patrick's Cathedral, eating lots of bagels, pizza, and whatever else we stumble upon. It should be a fun filled weekend. I of course will cartwheel across the Brooklyn Bridge (for the 2nd time). I'll post pictures of the lil bean in NYC and all of the stories when we get back.
Oh - please say a prayer that it isn't as cold as the forecast is predicting...suppose to snow on Saturday...BRRR.
