I can't believe it's already April - which means Bluebonnet season in Texas. As a child that was born and raised in Texas, it is an annual tradition to get your picture taken the in flowers. This of course is sometimes done on the side of the highway. Luckily, we have a great patch of Bluebonnets in Coppell that is not on the side of the road. I did Bluebonnet Mini Sessions for the 3rd year and they went great (minus my legs getting eaten alive by mosquitos...maybe one year I'll actually remember to wear bugspray)!
Doug and I got our boys out in the flowers and I think they turned out pretty great. My only goal was to get a picture of both boys together, smiling, and looking somewhat at the camera. You'd think this would be easy since I'm a photographer, but alas...it is much easier to photograph other people's children than your own. #1 - I have way more patience for other folks kids. #2 - my kids smile disappears as soon as my face is behind my camera. Anywho - things turned out pretty good. We did have to bribe Kelson with a sucker...but Parker was ALL smiles as usual. Love my boys.
Love this one. Parker leaned over and just gave Kelson a big bear hug. He love love loves his big brother.
haha. Kelson kissing Parker...
"How big is Parker?" SOOO BIG!
Doug's Dad aka "Grandpa" made this rocker for the boys.
I hate to admit it, but with all of Parker's crawling...he's thinning out...so sad.
Kelson showing off his sucker
Hooray! My FAVORITE. Both looking happy and looking at the camera! Score one for Mom and Dad.
If you haven't gotten your kids in the bluebonnets yet - you have a few more days before they are gone for the year. There are some GREAT fields around the metroplex. Let me know if you need some ideas!
Beautiful boys!! And amazing pictures!
